Unsecure items on a secure page error

Last Updated: Oct 07, 2013 03:10PM PDT
If you are receiving a security error it means that something on a secure page is not secure.  Most likely this would be one of the following: images that use absolute links (as opposed to relative links), images on another outside server, 3rd party javascript or css files that aren't secure. Any of these errors should be fixed immediately to prevent shoppers from being unnecessarily worried.  To fix this, look for any images that link to the entire path, such as:

and change them to:

Another common cause is flash or javascripts on a site. For example, if you have flash on your site, you need the following code:

pluginspage= to have your flash viewed.

However, this is referencing a non-secure location. To fix this, replace "http://" with "https://"

If you are using third party javascript tracking tools like Google page ad tracking system please make sure you are either not placing this code on secure pages or you are using their secure versions.
